An advanced remote control is used for remote shutter release in a camera working with BASIC battery packs.
This type of remote control allows you to remotely release the camera shutter from a distance of up to 5 meters. In addition, they allow the shutter to be automatically released when the IR beam is interrupted. This function is extremely useful, e.g. in nature photography. The pilot has two positions. Pressing the shutter button halfway down sets the AF and exposure parameters, and pressing the shutter button fully releases the shutter.
