Step-down adapter for filters and accessories

The Genesis Gear Step-Down 37-28 mm adapts the 37 mm front thread of a lens or tube to a filter, converter or other accessory with a 28 mm thread. It is intended for setups where the accessory thread differs from the lens-side thread.

How the adapter ring works

The first value in the 37-28 mm designation refers to the lens or tube thread, while the second refers to the filter or accessory thread. Screw the ring into the 37 mm thread, then attach the 28 mm accessory to the ring.

Matching thread sizes

Before ordering, check the front-thread diameter on the lens and the thread diameter of the filter or converter. This version connects a lens-side thread of 37 mm to an accessory thread of 28 mm. Using a smaller-diameter filter can cause vignetting with some lenses and focal lengths, so compatibility should be checked for the intended setup.
