The lens Tokina AT-X 24-70mm PRO FX gives the photographers who use fullframe cameras Canon or Nikon the most universal focal length reaching from 24mm (for portrait shooting) to 70mm, keeping at the same time brightenes f/2.8. The optical construction of the lens is based on three precisely pressed, all-glass aspherical lenses, achieving excellent contrast, sharpness and correction of spherical aberrations.
G09 is a large aspherical element, made of glass with a reduced dispersion factor (Super-low Dispersion – SD). This combination of optical elements ensures even lightning of the entire camera matrix surface. The other two elements SD (Super-low Dispersion), FK01 and FK03 were placed in the rear groups correcting chromatic aberrations. All these elements work together to obtain the maximum possible resolution that meets the requirements of cameras with 50-megapixel sensors entering the market.
The f / 2.8 aperture opening allows you to view and work the auto focus in very low light conditions while maintaining the flexibility of setting the shutter speed. In addition to excellent optics, the lens also has a rapid SDM (Silent Drive-Module) driving autofocus, making it one of the fastest and quietest Tokina lenses with autofocus so far.
Design also uses a unique Tokina lens focus switching mechanism (One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism), which makes it easier for the photographer to switch between AF and MF using the ergonomic movement of the focus ring forward or backward of the lens. The lens has been designed for the most demanding conditions of everyday use in a wide range of professional and amateur applications.
