VOIGTLANDER 40nn F/1.4 VM NOKTON classic is a "reporter" type of lens offering unusual brighteness and very high resolution of the photos. These features are due to the advanced optical system consisting of 7 elements arranged in 6 groups. The biggest advantage of this model is the large maximum F1.4 relative aperture, which allows you to take pictures in low light without the need for a flash. It is also worth mentioning the 10-blade aperture that allows you to get an interesting blur effect of objects outside the depth of field (bokeh).

The lens is valued by many photographers for its high sharpness, good visual quality, and a very nice, delicate vignette at f/1.4. In this case, the vignetting should be considered more as an effect than an optic defect, because it naturally focuses attention inside the frame, and when it is needed to remove it - just slightly turn the aperture.
