Your ticket to the movies

Although simple YouTube formats such as vlogs and tutorials can be successfully recorded with a photographic lens or even a smartphone, professional video productions requires specialized solutions that allow precise yet comfortable work on the set. However, quality cinema lenses are quite a substantial expense that could be afforded by professionals only - up until now.

With the arrival of Irix Cine lenses on the market, the world of filmmaking was opened up to many filmmakers who were struggling with their budget. This is a line of exceptional gear that, despite their extremely affordable price, provides extensive functionality and stunning visual effects. The optics in this series are also designed in close cooperation with a group of professional filmmakers, ensuring that all their components are fully compliant with industry standards.

The strenghts of Irix Cine

The Irix Cine product line is a unique lens system with a unified design optimized for filming. Their housing is made of solid aluminum and magnesium alloy - a durable and sturdily finished piece of equipment that can withstand the harsh conditions on film sets. The reliable sealing rings used in all Irix lenses, effectively prevent moisture, sand or dust from entering the lens' housing.

The special design of the lenses has made it possible to reduce focus breathing to a minimum, so they maintain the same angle of view each time you switch the focusing point. Among all the manufacturer's lenses, however, the wide-angle models deserve special mention, due to their ultra-low image distortion - frames recorded with their help retain their natural appearance and are free of distortion.

The internal focusing mechanism in the Irix Cine optics ensures that the lenses maintain a constant length at each focus setting, so they work perfectly with gimbals - their balance point always remains in the same place, causing no additional strain on the stabilizer motors. Each model also has similar dimensions, thus ensuring seamless replacement on the film rig.

As befits a cine lens, the Irix Cine are fully compatible with the professional moviemaking accessories. The focus and aperture gears are located in the exact same place on each lens, and are fully compatible with most manual or electronic follow focuses. The front 95-millimeter diameter of the lenses additionally allows the user to easily attach a matte box.
