Irix Edge MMS Drop-in Black Mist 1/2 Filter

A compact Black Mist 1/2 effect filter designed for the PL-Mount to Sony E-Mount adapter with the magnetic MMS Drop-In filter system. It gives the image a more cinematic character, gently softens the light, and subtly smooths the appearance of skin, making footage look more natural and organic.

The filter was specifically designed to work with the Irix PL-Mount to Sony E-Mount adapter equipped with the MMS Drop-In system. The magnetic mechanism allows for quick insertion and replacement of the filter, significantly speeding up work on set.

Black Mist effect – a more cinematic image

The Black Mist 1/2 version gently diffuses light, reduces digital sharpness, and creates a subtle glow around bright areas of the frame. As a result, the image becomes softer and more cinematic, which works especially well in night scenes and shots with visible light sources in the frame.
