The FocusDiffuser is a multi-tasking, first-of-its kind innovation that actually increases the effective light output of your softbox-just like a Fresnel lens. The FocusDiffuser controls light like a grid, but also focuses it like a lens-all while keeping your light super soft. Use it to control soft light, limiting spill and increasing the effective output of your MagBox by up to 700%. Inside the FocusDiffuser, micro-structures alter the angle of light in 40 or 20-degree beam angles, softly redirecting light forward and causing less spill. When compared to traditional softboxes, the MagBox with FocusDiffuser is up to 2.8 stops brighter.

So long, fabric grids

With an old-style softbox, you had only 1 option for controlling light: a flimsy fabric grid that attached with cumbersome, noisy Hook and Loop. The FocusDiffuser attaches to the MagBox in one second-quickly, quietly and easily-because magnets. Create beautiful soft light and place it exactly where you want it. The FocusDiffuser limits spill to give you the control you need to work more efficiently and save time in post.

When you're done with the FocusDiffuser, it rolls up neatly. Store it in the middle of your MagBox Case, which organizes and protects your MagMod gear perfectly. We custom-designed a tough center compartment just for the FocusDiffuser.
