Grip has all the functions of the original MB-D10 and in addition there are standard adapters for the use of EN-EL3e batteries and AA batteries. The battery pack allows you to hold the camera better, improves the ease of use when taking photos in a vertical arrangement, and allows you to increase the number of photos that can be taken with one set of batteries. Using a Ni-MH battery container allows shooting at 8 frames per second and also provides better camera operation at low temperatures and enables emergency power supply when En-El3e batteries cannot be charged.
