Tokina atx-i 100 mm F2.8 FF MACRO is a compact, medium telephoto lens that features a lightweight construction while delivering high-resolution images, low distortion, and beautiful bokeh effect. It is an exceptionally interesting tool for macro photographers, portraitists, street photographers, and more.
Tokina atx-i 100 mm F2.8 FF MACRO utilizes 2 aspherical glass elements and 2 low-dispersion glass elements to minimize distortions. At the same time, this solution allows for minimizing spherical aberration. The resulting image is incredibly sharp both in the center and at the edges of the frame. The lens uses a 55mm filter thread. Its barrel extends but does not rotate, making it easier to use filters. The lens offers a focus limiter switch, which facilitates focusing during macro photography.
Tokina atx-i 100 mm F2.8 FF MACRO enables achieving a 1:1 magnification ratio from a distance of 30 cm. This allows maintaining a short working distance from the subject while still achieving impressive magnification. Preserving a certain working distance makes it much easier to capture skittish subjects (e.g., insects) and also makes it easier to work with artificial lighting for macro photography.
