Placed between the camera body and the lens, the teleconverter allows you to effectively increase the focal length of the lens with which it is used. The Kenko Teleplus PRO300 DGX 2x converter multiplies the focal length of the lens by a factor of 2x. For example, a 300mm lens after using the converter will have a focal length of 600mm.

An extremely important feature of the PRO300 DGX 2x series converters is maintaining a full data exchange protocol. The unique converter system used in its design maintains signal integrity between the camera body and the lens. Thanks to this solution, we can use all exposure metering modes and maintain full cooperation during shooting with the flash equipped with TTL modes.
The optical construction consists of seven elements in four groups. They are all made of high quality optical glass, equipped with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. All optics are supplied by Hoya Corporation, the world's largest optical glass manufacturer.
Full compatibility of AF systems with TELEPLUS PRO300 DGX 2x converters is possible when using a lens with F4 aperture or brighter. Please note that AF only works when there is sufficient light and contrast for the camera's AF sensors. (Manual focus may be necessary when using lenses with lower f-stop open values than those listed above.) The TELEPLUS PRO300 DGX series converters also provide EXIF data.
Notes: it is recommended to use a converter with fixed focal length lenses above 100mm or zoom lenses above 50mm. When using the converter, it is recommended to turn off the aberration correction, autofocus support, vibration reduction and energy saving functions as they may cause the converter to malfunction. Autofocus may not work properly at apertures above f / 4.
