Use and construction

The shaped body and rubberised grip areas provide a secure hold in both horizontal and vertical orientations. A standard tripod socket remains available on the base, so the grip can stay attached when using a tripod or monopod. The grip uses 1 or 2 BP-511 batteries. It can alternatively be powered by 6 AA batteries. The additional power source reduces battery changes during longer photo or video sessions.
