Didymium enhancer filter

HOYA RA54 Red Enhancer selectively increases saturation and contrast in red, orange and brown areas of a scene while having relatively little effect on other colors.

Landscapes and architecture

The effect is useful for autumn foliage, rocks, brickwork and architectural details that should stand out without globally increasing saturation across the entire image.

Controlled exposure correction

The filter factor is 1.5, equivalent to about 1/2 EV of exposure correction. Modern TTL metering will generally account for this change automatically.

A creative effect at capture

RA54 separates warm colors more clearly at the time of capture, reducing the need for heavy saturation adjustments later in post-processing.
