The SPARKLE 6X effect

HOYA SPARKLE 6X turns point light sources into moderately sized six-ray stars. It works well with night illuminations, reflections on water, bright stars, jewelry and other small concentrated light sources.

Soft effect without strong point lights

When the composition contains no strong point light sources, the filter can gently soften the image and give it a dreamy character. The soft effect becomes stronger as focal length increases toward the telephoto range.

Rotating front frame

The front frame rotates so the angle of the six-ray pattern can be matched to the composition. Ray appearance is also affected by aperture, focal length and the size and strength of the light source.

Digital Multi-Coating

The glass uses digital multi-coating with a maximum surface reflection ratio of 0.5%. Black-rimmed glass helps minimize random reflections and the thin aluminum frame reduces the risk of vignetting.
