TheMetricversion uses a focusing-distance scale marked inmetres. Optics and mechanics are the same as the Imperial version; only the scale units differ.

Full Frame coverage and 8K-ready optics

The Irix Cine 15mm T2.6 is designed forFull Frameand smaller sensor formats. Its image circle is 43.3 mm, while the optics are prepared for high-resolution capture including Ultra HD 8K.

15 mm with an ultra-wide field of view

On Full Frame the horizontal field of view is approximately100°. The rectilinear design keeps the wide perspective without a fisheye look. A typical value for this mount/sensor combination is:100° on Full Frame.

15 elements in 11 groups

The optical design uses15 elements in 11 groupsincluding three HR, two ED and two aspherical ASP elements. It is optimized for high sharpness, low distortion and controlled aberrations.

T2.6–T22 with 9 rounded blades

The iris runs smoothly fromT2.6 to T22and uses9 rounded blades. The stepless mechanical action supports precise exposure changes during a shot.

Fully manual cine construction

Focus and aperture are controlled directly through mechanical lens rings.The lens has no electronics and no communication with the camera bodysupporting a predictable and repeatable cine workflow.

Very low focus breathing

Focus breathing is kept very low, so focus pulls produce only a small change in framing and help maintain a stable composition.

180° focus throw and Mod 0.8

The focus ring rotates through180°and the iris ring through approximately75°. Both useMod 0.8gears for manual or motorized follow-focus systems.

Irix MMS – fast magnetic filter changes

TheMMSsupports fast mounting of compatibleIrix Edge MMSfilters, including UV, CPL, ND, Vari ND and Black Mist.

Standard 86 mm filters fit as well

The lens also has an86 × 1.0 mmfront filter thread, so it can use both Irix Edge MMS filters and conventional 86 mm screw-in filters.

95 mm – standard cine front diameter

The external front diameter is95 mmsimplifying integration with professional matte boxes and other cine accessories.

Weather sealing and UV-reactive markings

This mount version uses4 weather-sealing points. Laser-engraved markings filled with UV-reactive paint remain easier to read in low light.
