Samyang 8mm T3.1 Cine lens for Samsung NX
The Samyang VDSLR 8mm T3.1 UMC Fish-eye is a high-quality wide-angle cine fisheye lens intended for digital SLR cameras with APS-C sensors. Samyang V-DSLR lenses are equipped with geared rings compatible with Follow Focus systems. This allows smooth and precise rotation of the focus and aperture rings. These modifications make it exceptionally convenient and effective to control depth of field and the plane of focus while filming.
Optical construction and image quality
Its optical construction is based on 11 lens elements in 8 groups. Thanks to multilayer UMC anti-reflective coatings, it maintains high contrast and faithful color reproduction. The lens provides a diagonal field of view of 180 degrees, while the minimum focusing distance is only 0.3 metres. Lens speed is rated at T3.1. For easier reading of the focus and aperture scales, the markings are placed parallel to the optical axis of the lens. The lens was designed for cameras equipped with high-resolution sensors above 24 megapixels. Despite its compact size, it delivers exceptional optical quality and high image performance.
