The Irix Edge MMS Drop-in CPL Filter is a professional polarizing filter designed specifically for use with the PL-Mount to Sony E-Mount adapter equipped with the magnetic MMS Drop-In filter system. The filter effectively reduces unwanted reflections and glare on non-metallic surfaces, improves color saturation, and increases control over the image character.

This is especially useful when filming glass, water, painted surfaces, the sky, or architectural elements. Unlike classic front-mounted filters, this model was designed as part of the MMS Drop-In system, making it compact, quick to use, and perfectly suited for work on set.

This is a dedicated filter developed specifically for the Irix PL-Mount to Sony E-Mount adapter with the MMS Drop-In system. It is not a classic filter from the earlier MMS system mounted directly on the lens.

The CPL filter helps reduce reflections on glass, water, and glossy surfaces, and thanks to double-sided, multi-layer nano anti-reflective coatings, it supports a clean, high-contrast, and more transparent image. By using high-quality optical glass, the filter maintains neutral color reproduction and offers excellent contrast and high sharpness.

The filter belongs to the SR series and is made of reinforced tempered glass, which results in above-average impact resistance and greater safety during intensive fieldwork and on-set use.

Double-sided anti-reflective coatings support high image quality, natural colors, and proper transparency in various working conditions.
