TheHoya UX II CIR-PL Polarizing Filter 40.5 mmlets you control reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass. Rotate the front ring to tune the effect and increase the saturation of skies, foliage and other colors.
10-layer coating and predictable exposure
UX II CIR-PL uses a10-layer coatingand has a filter factor of3. HOYA specifies an exposure correction of about1 2/3 stops. It uses standard polarizing film without water- or oil-repellent coating.
Reflection control and contrast
A circular polarizer controls reflections from non-metallic surfaces. The effect changes as you rotate the front ring, so you can tailor it to the scene – from subtle glare reduction to richer skies and greener foliage.
Slim aluminum frame and 40.5 mm thread
The rotating front ring provides smooth control over the polarization effect. The low-profile aluminum frame has a front thread for a lens cap or another compatible accessory. This version fits Ø40.5 mm threads.
