18-layer coating and high transmission

Professional-grade HOYA optical glass uses an 18-layer anti-reflective coating. The filter provides very high 99.6% light transmission and has minimal effect on colour balance, contrast and image sharpness.

Front-element protection

The Protector is designed for everyday protection from dust, dirt, splashes and minor mechanical contact. It is useful for photography and video outdoors, while travelling and during reportage work.

Low-profile aluminium frame

The one-piece aluminium frame keeps the glass parallel to the sensor plane, while its low profile helps reduce vignetting. The front thread accepts a lens cap or compatible accessory.
