Hoya HD MkII Protector 72 mm – robust front-element protection
Hoya HD MkII Protector 72 mmis a clear filter designed for permanent front-element protection against dust, dirt, scratches and accidental bumps. Its ultra-clear glass does not change color balance or the character of the image.
Chemically strengthened HD glass
The filter uses special chemically strengthened HOYA HD optical glass which, according to the manufacturer, provides about four times better protection than conventional glass. It is a practical safeguard for valuable lenses during everyday shooting.
99.6% transmission and 16-layer AR coating
The high-transmittance coating reduces reflections caused by the additional glass surface. The filter uses16 anti-reflective layersand HOYA specifies99.6% transmission. Water- and oil-repellent, stain-resistant surfaces make cleaning easier.
Low-profile aluminum frame
The aluminum frame has a low profile to reduce the chance of vignetting on wide-angle lenses. The glass is mounted using high-pressure press technology. The72 mmversion fits lenses with a 72 mm filter thread.
