Softer light from a compact flash

The iM20 is designed to stay small, and the IM20DF follows the same idea. The translucent diffuser spreads the direct flash over a broader area, helping reduce the hard-edged look that a bare miniature flash can produce on faces and close-range subjects.

Useful for portraits and everyday fill

At short shooting distances, a diffuser can make direct flash more forgiving by smoothing transitions between highlights and shadows. The IM20DF is therefore a practical addition for casual portraits, travel photography, tabletop subjects and everyday fill when maximum bare-flash intensity is not the priority.

Direct slip-on mounting

The diffuser fits over the front of the compatible flash body and does not require a separate bracket, speedring or magnetic adapter. That keeps the setup lightweight and lets the flash retain its main advantage: very small size on the camera.
