Shape close-up light from both sides

MA2 uses two flexible arms so the left and right sources can be positioned independently around a small subject. That is especially useful for macro work where a few centimetres of movement can completely change reflections and texture. Each arm can also carry a compact flash weighing up to 90 g.

LED modeling light and flash workflow on one axis

The system combines LED modeling illumination and flash fill along the same lighting axis, helping you preview direction and focus before taking the picture. In FLASH mode it supports S1/S2 optical triggering, while A/B control allows one-sided or two-sided lighting depending on the subject and camera angle.

Adjustable Bi-Color LED for photo and video

In LED mode, brightness is adjustable from 0–100% and color temperature from 2800K to 6500K. Godox specifies CRI around 96 and TLCI around 97. The included MA02-D magnetic diffuser softens highlights and shadows at close distance, which is particularly useful on shiny, wet or textured macro subjects.

Built for field macro sessions

The 3.635 V / 3300 mAh battery provides about 3 hours 20 minutes at full LED output and charges through USB-C in roughly 2 hours 40 minutes. With the arms extended, dimensions are approximately 410 × 57 × 52 mm, and the main unit weighs about 340 g without accessories.
