Strengthened UV-cut glass

Special chemically strengthened HOYA HD optical glass is, according to the manufacturer, about four times stronger than conventional optical glass. Its sharp UV cut reduces unwanted ultraviolet influence without altering visible-spectrum colors.

16-layer AR coating and 98.8% transmission

The filter uses a16-layer high-transmittance anti-reflective coating. HOYA specifies98.8% transmission. Water- and oil-repellent, stain-resistant surfaces make the filter easier to clean in the field.

Low-profile aluminum frame

The slim aluminum frame minimizes the chance of vignetting with wide-angle lenses, while the glass is securely mounted using high-pressure press technology. The62 mmversion fits lenses with a 62 mm filter thread.
