GENESIS VM-5 Monitor is an external display for Canon 5D Mark II digital reflex cameras. Larger display makes it easy to manage camera features and frame the picture. The monitor allows to move away from the camera as far as the connecting cable stretches. Developed output and input cable provides impressive flexibility and real-time operation for professional applications.

7" LCD display with 1024x600 resolution is the heart of the device. It is illuminated by LED diodes providing brightness of 250cd/m2 and the contrast ratio of 700:1, with the total power consumption of 6 watts.

GENESIS VM-5 may be connected through the attached cable to cameras and camcorders equipped with mini-HDMI coupling. The monitor was additionally fitted with one analogue BNC audio sockets, and output and input video sockets. The displays also comes with three Component Video and one XLR DC cables.

Convenient buttons for the adjustment of image and display modes are on the front part of the device. One of its most important features of is a possibility to modify the aspect ratio of the displayed image (4:3 or 16:9) as well as brightness, contrast, saturation and colour temperature. The remaining buttons on the device switch black and white (BW) mode and facilitate image calibration (Marker). Headphones may be also attached to the device, with the input socket on the front of the device.
