The task of full gray filters is to reduce the amount of light that reaches the lens. This filter prevents overexposure of photos and extends the exposure time allowing greater depth of field. We often take photos with long exposure times that allow you to visualize the movement. The gray filter prevents overexposure of such photos by darkening the exposure. It is especially useful when our camera does not have very high aperture values (such as f / 22, f / 32 etc.). Thanks to this, we will be able to take pictures showing, for example, the movement of clouds, water taking on foam, "wadded" form, busy streets without passers-by. Gray filters are made of optical glass.
